Land Rover Repair: Landrover Defender wont restart, landrover defender 110, bristol england

I have a P reg (1997) Landrover Defender 110 CSW. Had some trouble with the Immobiliser and a local garage "bypassed it" . Now while car always starts from cold if I stop after driving for more than 10 mins, the car will not re-start for c 15-20 mins (quicker if I open the bonnet and let engine cool down!).

I get not even a tick over when try to restart. Car appears totally dead. Thena after 15-20 mins car starts fine!

Any suggestions re any heat related electric problems?

I suggest you check with a dealer or recognized LR expert to see what that garage really did.  In the USA, it is not possible to disable the immobilizer.  So what you say cannot have happened here.  However vehicle configuration varies in other countries.
