HI John.
cant open rear door on disco 3- can hear the solenoid actuating but it still wont open - can i get in at it from the inside ?

Hi Grahame,

you are the first LR3 owner to complain about rear door problems.  If its like the DII and DI vehicles before, yes you should be open up the panel from the inside.  I don't have info on the specifics of an LR3.  Sorry.

Go to www.discoweb.org and check out the LR3 bulletin board.  Perhaps someone there can advise you on the specifics.  It does sound alot like all the problems we've had with the earlier Disco's.
If that's the case, the lock actuator may need to be replaced.  Some owners have success with extensive cleaning and lubrications within the latch and key.
