Land Rover Repair: 2002 Freelander Transmission Maybe, land rover dealers, diesel common rail

Hello we jus purchased a used 2002 freelander 2 days ago on Friday as I was bringing it home it started to pull itself like drag, then it completely stopped, the engine comes on but the truck will not go forward or backwards. PLEASE help me I just bought it and it doesnt work. I live in AR and there are no land rover dealers around. My husband thinks it is the transmission but he has already put some fluid in it and it still doesnt work. Can you tell me how much it takes?

I think it will rather the clutch disc broken.
The transmission never busted. So you should go in a worksop and disassemble the transmission, and clutch.
Can you push the clutch pedal? What is that's feels like? Normal? Or hard, maybe too easy (fallen down)?

What engine is in the vehicle? 1.8 petrol? Tdi? TD4 (BMW diesel, common rail)
