Land Rover Repair: landrover immobiliser, easy immo, starter wire

Question
we have a 1993 200 series without the remote.when we unlock the car with the key the alarm goes off and it will not start as the red light next to the speedo stays on.is there anyway to bypass the immobiliser or is there a sequence to undertake i.e. a series of key turns either way to reset the system? The handbook says to hold the door lock in the locked position with the key for 5 seconds to cancel the immobiliser but this does not work.I would appreciate any help as we have a dead Land Rover at the moment. Thanks

Answer
At the best of my knowledge, there is just an easy immo in the alarm system. I don't know exactly, but I think it cuts the ignition and/or the starter wire. So anybody, who has a little knowledge about electricity, can disable the immobiliser in half hour.
I think you have better to search the nearest car repairer, I'm sure he can solve the problem, with the wires recconnecting.

If you want to go with the car, you can give ignition the system, if you connect a positive lead to the fuel cut-off solenoid, and you can starting with touching a positive lead to the starter motor's solenoid.
