Lexus Repair: Buying a Lexus, lexus models, ls400

Question
I am looking into buying a used car after too many headaches with an older Volvo.  I was looking into Hondas and Toyotas but have noticed several Lexus models for sale in my price range.  I don't know much about them and was wondering if you could just give me a general idea of the practicality of owning a Lexus (i.e repair affordability, etc).  The models I have noticed in the paper are 1992 LS400 and 1994 ES 300-- all with over 100K miles.  I just want to try to not buy into someone else's car headache like I seemed to with the Volvo.  Thanks for your help!

Answer
Hello Heather, Used cars will for sure always need some repairs. I would look for a 4 cylinder Camry with about 60k miles or less on it. If you buy a lexus be ready for service and repair costs at times above $1,000. If you decide on a Lexus the LS400 model is their best. Remember only to take your Lexus or Toyota to a factory trained shop.
