Lexus Repair: 1997 ES300 spark pluge change, toyota dealer, special tools

Question
My 1997 (11/96) ES 300 has 63K miles and time for a spark plug change soon.  Does the intake manifold need to be romoved to change the rear 3 plugs?  If not, I plan to change plugs myself.  What special tools are needed if any? If so where to purchase if specialized? The dealer charges $550.00 to change.

Answer
Hello Bruce, It sounds like your dealer is giving you a price on a complete service not just the plugs. It does not take any special tools just a air ratchet, magnetic spark plug socket, a few different sizes of extensions and a swivel extensions. You may want to call your local Toyota dealer and ask them for a price also.
