My car has problems starting.  If I start it, and let everything happen normally, it will die.  However, if I press the gas during starting, it will stay started.  The moment I let off of the gas, it will die.  I've driven around by keeping the gas pressed.  Putting car in N while at a stop light, pressing gas.  It's annoying as I don't know what the problem is.  Sometimes, It will hesitate and stay revving of its own accord.  Also, there are times when I'm driving it ... it just kicks into running on its own.  Very weird.  I've recently changed the battery in it, hoping that was the cause.  Help?!

Answer -
Sounds like a sensor. Is the check engine light on?

Yes, the check engine light is on.  What can I do?

Answer
Well Jason,

That is the key. Now you need to take it somewhere to have a scan performed so we can see what sensor is causing the problem. Resubmit to me what the "P" code number is and I will gladly explain what needs to be done. By the way, Cottman Transmission will do this for free. www.cottman.com for one near you.
