Lincoln/Mercury Repair: 1983 Grand Marquies, fuel injection system, crank sensor

Question
-------------------------
Followup To pete that was checked too. the vac line i mean, someone told me that year was a combination carburator and fuel injection system that always had problems... Is that the case? I will check the line again though because it could be clogged since the car wasn't driven for about a month this winter...thanks again jann
Question -
The fuel injection system seems very touchy. If adjusted too low it will stall, too high and will race the engine. I had the carburetor replaced and also because of start problems, the crank sensor. It would start and run for 15 minutes to half an hour then shut itself off and only start again after setting for about 3 hours. Now stays running because of that sensor being replaced. Back to carburetor/fuel injection. Would there be something else causing the racing engine?
