Mazda Repair: head gasket???, signs of a blown head gasket, blown head gasket


Question
Hi. I just bought a 1996 Mazda millennia s with a supercharger
Symptoms.
Check engine light on, gassy smell in radiator overflow, loss of power up hill,
Ruff idle, temp gauge fluctuates after 15min from middle point to 3 quarter.
No milky oil. No smoke. No stalling
Is this necessarily a blown head gassket?
Please help. ,thank you in advanced.

the common signs of a blown head gasket are as you said milky oil on the dip stick also you'll have white smoke from the tail pipe and your exhause will smell sweet in most cases, also over time you'll see that your losing coolant slowly.

check your thermastat and also the coolant, you may also have a water pump starting to go. if the ecm can't read all the sensors right it'll go into limp mode and effect drivability.

you can also scan it for codes and from there have a better understanding of were to look
