Question
I have Mazda 626 lx v6 year 1997, it has failed Emission test, the codes came up are P0302, P1170, p1195.
I don't have lot of money to fix it,any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks.

Answer
The P0302 indicates that cylinder #2 is misfiring, or that it has misfired. Check for a vacuum leak near the intake runner near cylinder #2.

P1170 indicates that there is a problem with "heated oxygen sensor" #1 on bank 1. This sensor is located on or after the exhaust manifold in the front of the engine compartment. The sensor could be worn out, or one of its wires may be damaged.

P1195 refers to a fuel metering problem or an incorrect fuel mixture. This is probably due to either your heater oxygen sensor problem or a vacuum leak, or both.

Check for the vacuum leak first. Next, check for bad wires on heated oxygen sensor #1 bank 1. Last, consider replacing the oxygen sensor. After every step, have the codes cleared with an obdII scanner.
