Mazda Repair: Mazda 626 not taking bumps or dips well, bump in the road, mazda 626

Question
My 2002 Mazda 626 seems to feel every little bump in the road and creates a hard jarring effect along with a "clunking" sound after each dip (even at slower speeds). Car has 96,000 miles on it.  Does it need shocks? struts? or ?

Answer
Hi Max thanks for asking.
It sounds to me like you have a bad suspension problem. When shock absorbers wear out it is no longer able to keep the spring from bouncing the vehicle up and down. That is why ou are feeling every bump. It is like riding a 4 springs and nothing to asist.
With the clunking noise it is more than likely the stabalizer links. These vehicle were comoing for having to replace them. The joint basicly gets loose and every time you hit a bump the joing would rattle around giving you that clunking noise.  Take this vehicle to a technician and tell him to just look at the stuts and stab links. You may not have to replace a 4 stuts. But maby all 4 stab links.
Good luck
