Mercedes Benz repair: 240D starter replacement, fuse block, 12 gauge

Question
I went to replace the starter in my 240d disconnected the 3 wires from the starter(small 12 gauge, ground wire and harness and harness from alternator?) di not have allen wrench socket to remove starter so put everything back in place and now have no electrical power for anything. replaced battery and still no power. What happened? is there a main fuse that blew. all fuses in fuse block on firewall are good. Can't figure it out. PLEASE HELP

do you have lights first off?? or is it all off verify you have a good ground to your starter. put 12 v on your starter make sure it cranks and your solenoid obviously you will have to work around your problem and try top figure it out where you are losing your voltage
