Mercedes Benz repair: acceleration Problem, mercedesbenze, crank sensor

Thanx shane for your response previously as regards d above subject on my mercedesbenze C230 1998 model, currently the accceleration pedal is working fine cuz have change the,MAF sensor but then when climbing a hill the speed drops as if there`s a loss of power to accelerate and it`s sluggisness is so annoying(even with d pedal presed fully) but it moves well on a leveled ground when the pedal is pressed.Also when the car is stationary and you rev at times it misfires(I`ve also change all d plugs).
I also noticed that the engine doesn`t start once like it used to except on the third start thats when it starts (i.e starts and goes off on 1st and 2nd starting b4 finally running on the 3rd).pls I need ur expertise cuz this car is driving me nuts.

you may need to pull your valve cover and check your timing first it almost sounds that your firing wrong I would start there, then your crank sensor or cam sensor?do you hear a tick or something fr5om your engine. I did a head gasket job on 280 same year the timing is overhead 24 valve if the timing is off a little you will get the same results if you need the link hit me up
