Mercedes Benz repair: 1981 380SL sat for 9 months, wont start..., fuel mixture, extreme precautions

1981MB 380sl... Car was run out of gas...put gas in and a bunch of gas addedtive....sat for 9 mos. now the car will not start.... if you losen all the injecters it will start but gas goes everywhere....when you start tighting down the injecters and get to the last one the car dies and will not start unless you losen the injecters again.........what are we missing HELP......

Danger: fire hazard, take extreme precautions, several fire extinguishers at hand, a gallon of soap plus garden hose to scrub and wash away fuel spills.

The old fuel mixture you describe is unstable over time, and now must be removed.

#1. Drain all of the sludge from the fuel tank.

#2. Refill with five gallons of fresh fuel.

#3. Bleed one quart of fuel from the high pressure line at the fuel distributor.

#4. Bleed roughly one ounce of fuel from each injector.

#5. Try starting the car, it should run terrible for roughly half an hour.
