Military Vehicle Repair: CUCV 1008 electrical, switch fuses, starter solenoid

Question
I have a mint condition 1008 which worked well until this second snow storm of the year hit. The plow electrical system works perfectly. They batteries are peaked (it's a 24 volt)My glow plug lights seem to work followed by one short grunt and then nothing. My lights and horn do not work, the wipers do. All of the connections/cables that I can readily see are fine. My dogs alerted me to mice under the hood?
Thanks for any checkpoints you can provide!

Answer
Hi Fred,
So...how did you get a mint 1008?

Your problem sounds like a fusible link, or the connector where the wires run through the firewall.

Could also be the starter solenoid for the starter. The headlights...do you still have the toggle switches under the headlight switch? If so, one of them operates a relay, which powers the regular headlight switch.
Fuses are a possibility, as well as the relay, and toggle switch.
