Question
I have a 96 galant with pulsating brakes and a ticking sound coming from the dashboard area could you please give me some advice on how to fix these problems and about how much it will cost,Thankyou

Answer
Denise,
Pulsating brakes can be cause warped or excessively work brake rotors.  It can also be caused by a failing ABS control unit.  Both of those items should be checked immediately.  The ticking noise can be a number of things.  There are several electrical components mounted underneath your dashboard; most of which are controlled in some way by relay switches.  Those are mechanical switches turned on and off by electrical impulses.  If there is a problem with a module or proper flow of power to any of those devices, the relays may constantly switch on and off hence causing a "ticking" noise.  It's possible your brake issue and ticking noise are related.  So it's best to have a professional inspect your car as soon as you can.
Good luck!
