Question
I have already broke two pullers trying to remove my harmonic balancer puuley to put a new timing belt on my car.. Can you give me some advise on removing that pulley? I have had timing belt and power steering belt issues with this car the whole time ive had it..

Answer
Jeremy,
Stubborn pulleys are very common place for older cars.  There are a few tricks like heating the pulley with a blowtorch with the puller on it, and then lightly tapping around the pulley while it's hot.  Also, dowsing the pulley with penetrating oil, allowing it to soak in, heating it up, pulling, tapping, and then repeating as necessary.

There are also other methods along with heating the pulley, and rapidly cooling the pulley.  This could be done with a spare fire extinguisher (CO2 of course).  Sometime this can work with great results, but also in damage or serious injury.  Anytime working work things such as a puller and blowtorch, take extreme caution.
Good luck!
