Mitsubishi Repair: IAC Valve Adjustment, eclipse gs, exact procedure

I have a 1995 Mits Eclipse GS 2.0 (non-turbo)and I've just purchased a IAC valve. I noticed that it has to be adjusted and don't know what to adjust it to. I don't have a service/repair manual. Could you possibly help me solve this problem that I'm having, as I'm trying to get back to NYC from SC???

I do not have the exact procedure memorized, and if you improperly try to adjust your idle, it may make things worse.  If your idle is a little high; between 1000-1500 rpms when your engine is at normal operating temp., then you should be fine. The same goes for if your idle is a little low.  If most of your trip from SC to NYC is freeway driving, your idle speed shouldn't matter too much.  Have a professional inspect and adjust the idle properly when you finish your trip.
