just an esay one is the water pump on my fto mivic driven by the timing belt thanks

Rob: In a around about way, as the timing belt drives the engine in turn, turns the belts that would make the ac, power steering pump, alternator, water pump work. Still the timing belt is inside the engine, where there is another belt what just runs the water pump, alternator and engine, another belt that runs the ac and power steering. Unless your car is new and then it has just one belt that runs all of them. But you did not put down the year of this car. If the timing belt breaks the water pump or the car will not work.
