Mitsubishi Repair: 1988 Starion, auto parts stores, battery cables

Question
Hello I had replaced the turbo on my 1988 starion and it was running fine. I removed the coil to test if another car had a bad coil but it was fine.I replaced the coil back in the starion and no spark? I bought a brand new coil still no spark? All I did was take the coil out and put right back in? Any ideas also the battery is weak but I have a fully charged jump box and it cranks fine.

Answer
Larry,
Be sure there is a proper ground and that you didn't blow any fuses or fusible links when you removed the coil.  Sometimes fuses can blow if the coil did not discharge completely when removed.  Check the connections on the battery as well.  You may want to take it to get it load tested.  Most major auto parts stores will do this test for free.  If your battery cannot hold a complete charge or discharge to it's rated capacity, you should replace it.  Make sure all the battery cables and cable terminals are free from corrosion.
Good luck!
