Mitsubishi Repair: 1993 mitsubishi pajero warning light, mitsubishi pajero, coolant level

Question
I have a '93 pajero 2.5 td.  A red warning light - circle with exclamation mark in it- has just come on and is not going off!  Any idea what it is?

Answer
Judy: If the computer kicked that light on, it is picking up a problem in the system. Something like a check engine light on other cars. But it could be one of many different things. You will have to take the car to a shop and have them check it over. You can mean while check the oil, coolant level, brake fluid level, if the car is a auto(check the transmission fluid level), see if the belts are tight, check to see if the cables are tight on the battery(how old is the battery), see if the air filter needs changing, those are things you can do and then see if the light goes off if you find one of those low and add to it. Other wise you will have to take the car to the shop. Oh yes, don't put it off; if it is not something to do with what I wrote because it is something important and you want to take care of your car. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
