Mitsubishi Repair: 2001-mitsubishi gallant-2.4 sohc engine, mitsubishi gallant, fuel pumps

Question
car intermittently transmits po352 trouble code-cyl 2 misfiring. It runs ok until you put a heavy loas on the engine ,either pulling into traffic or turning the a/c on then it will break up and appears not to take the gas and will run rough. If you back off on the accelerator and give the gas slowly it will smooth out.I have changed the wires, spark plugs and both ignition coils but it still runs the same way.ANY TECHNICAL HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Answer
Bob: Sounds like a weak or bad computer. Have you had that checked? I mean the cars now days are run by those computers and the sensors through out the engine. You can replace all kinds of things on the engine. But if the sensors and the computer are not talking to each other right. Well then your car will not run right. Have you had the fuel pump checked? An easy test what with the high cost of fuel these days, a lot of people are running their cars down to empty before filling them back up. Been replacing a lot of fuel pumps. As the fuel is what keeps the pump cool, so without that fuel you burn out the pump with time. But if the pump checks out, then I would say your car's sensors are not talking to the computer right. Or else the computer is not listening. I hope this helps and good luck! Sorry a long day and I am really tired tonight. ~Linda~
