Mitsubishi Repair: parking light, phillips screwdriver, houseing

Question
Does the whole bumper have to be removed to replace a burnt out parking light? Thankyou this is what I've been told by the dealer.

Answer
Leslie: No you do not remove the bumper to replace a burnt out parking light. I don't know your car's year and model so I shall give you some ideas and see if any of them work for your car. On your car if you get down and look at the cover that covers that light that is out. There might be screws that are holding that cover on, so use a Phillips screwdriver and remove the cover. Remove the screws from the back of the houseing and pull off the bulb holder. Then  pull the bulb straigh out of the socket. Some cars and models you have to rotate the light bulb holder conunterclockwise and withdraw the bulb or some you just pull the bulb out. You might have to try different ways to get that bulb out. Or still some models you push the bulb in and then rottate the bulb to remove it. If you still can not understand how do do this, go to any parts store and ask them to put the bulb in for you. I am pretty sure they would do this for you, if you buy the bulb from them. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda :o)
