Mitsubishi Repair: Broken Head gasket, blown head gasket, haynes manuals

Hi well i was wondering if the work for changing a blown head gasket would be tidious? i have tools available and would like to know if i'd be able to do it my self/

RJ:You should go buy yourself a repair manual for your car. You can get one at any parts store for around $20.00. That would explain what it will take to do it and if you think you can handle it. It is not that hard to get to the gasket but was it blown because of heat? Or what? You will have to have the head checked out by some shop and then they will decide what will take to get it right. The gasket is only part of your problem. But before you throw your hands up in the air and think I can not do this. Go get that repair manual as it will explain things to you and then you can decide for yourself. Oh hey I like the Haynes manuals the best but that is up to you. Hope this helps and good luck!
