Mitsubishi Repair: upgrade ecu, fuel system upgrades, mitsubishi galant

Mitsubishi Galant,2.4L,ES,Auto.    About how much whp am i gonna gain if i send my chip in to get upgraded.  Just wanting to know if it worth spending 350 dollars.

ECU upgrades are usually most beneficial as one of the last upgrades you should do.  Unless you've made several other modifications (including upgrades to your intake, exhaust, fuel system, and other various drivetrain components, the ECU upgrade may only increase your whp 5-10%.  

ECU upgrades typically offer the most gain to turbocharged engines, as opposed to naturally aspirated as the Galant ES is.  $350 is a lot of money to spend, which you may be better off using for other upgrades you could do to your car.  Look into upgrading intake, exhaust, and fuel system upgrades before an ECU upgrade.  You may be able to gain over 15% whp gain for under $350 with the right bolt-on upgrades.
