Mitsubishi Repair: Turn off service ligth, negative battery cable, ready car

Hi,
Can u tell me how turn off the service ligth.
I have a 2003 montero es  mitsubishi. I did ready car service but ligth still on.

The easiest thing to try is to remove your negative battery cable from your battery for about 30 seconds, then reattach it.  That will reset your car's computer and turn off your check engine light.  
BUT BE AWARE:  Your car's radio may be equipped with an anit-theft device.  If the battery is disconnented, that will reset your radio as well, and that may require you to enter a code to unlock the anti-theft device.  If you don't know the code, you'd have to get that from the dealership.  Since you have a 2003 model, I'll assume it's still under warranty depending on your mileage.  The dealership should be able to turn off the check engine light for free.  Or, if you have an AutoZone in your area, they may be able to turn off the light for free as well without the need to disconnent your battery.
