Motorcycle Repair: ignition and tail n license plate light

I have headlight with my switch on but no tail or license plate light.i lose headlight and have tail n license plate light when switch is on the p .is this a problem with my switch or something else?thank you

Could be either one. I would first trace down the wiring and look for a short.
Matbe it has rubbed through somewhere from vibration and is groundind to the frame.
I would also remove the switch and inspect it inside for broken or lose wires.
These Electrical Issues take Patients. You could use an Ohm meter and check the
wires to see if any are grounded to the frame. Then there is most likely a Relay that
is in the Circuit too.
