Motorcycle Repair: front master cylinder, harley dealership, elecra

Bike is 2001 elecra glide classic.  Today I spent 3 hrs in local Harley dealership.  Told I needed a front master cylinder rebild!  Ok,  I had spongie front brakes.  After 3 hrs. they are still Spongie, and will not stay pumped up.  They told me that DOT 5 will have suspended air bubbles in it.  After a day or so the air will leave if I put a Zip tie on the brake handle to the throttle.  I think I'm getting the runaround.  What's your take???

I guess my question would be where does the air go if it leaves? The z-tie thing is new to me. Never heard of doing that. Spongie is from air int he lines or a leaking master cylinder. Since they rebuilt it, it shouldnt be leaking by. Sounds like the system needs bled more. It takes along time to get all the air out of the system, when it has been drained.
Since you paid to have the bike worked on, I wuold take it back.
