Motorcycle Repair: Honda CA160, dual filament, filament bulb

Question
I read your answer about the CA160 being 6 volt. I found an old, of course it's old, CA160 and it has a 6N12-4A battery that is shot, frozen, split. I have been trying to find out if the system is 6 or 12 volt so thank you for the answer. However, the dual filament tail light bulb says ??57. I figure 1157. My understanding is that all _ _ 57 bulbs are 12V. Is this explainable? I have not been able to remove the sealed beam headlight to check voltage. I see some owners want to change from 6 to 12 volts so maybe someone did that before I found this on in the woods, but I doubt it. Is there a place on the tool box side for a 2nd 6 volt battery? Can you date this with engine &/or VIN number?
I am interested in your CL & CB disc as well. Thanks you, Bruce

All the CA95-based bikes, including the CA160 have 6v systems.

1154 is the dual filament bulb for that bike. All the headlight bulbs (US models) are sealed beams, although you can carefully unsolder the bulb base and carve out a hole in the back for some kind of bulb holder and a 35w 6v bulb.

CA160s were only made for a couple of years... 1966-67-ish.

http://www.motorera.com/honda/h0160/tour160.htm  says through 1969, but the CA/CD175s came out before that in 1968. They really don't "date code," like the earlier bikes.

You can order CDs from me, by contacting me through my website: www.vintagehonda.com

The CD sets don't really address the 150-160 series machines, however, just the 250-305s.
