Motorcycle Repair: leak on shut off control valve under gas tank, weep hole, gas tank

the off /on valve. there is a little weep hole at the end of it that just started leaking gas and some times it quits then starts leaking again.I am afraid it might start leaking on hot engine while I am riding and catch fire. what can I do to stop it from leaking? thanks Ron.

Hi Ron,
You will need to obtain a rebuild kit for the valve, (petcock). Try a local dealer or perhaps a online purchase may be the best option. The petcock is occasionally a simple valve/filter, it may be more complex as they have evolved over the years.
