Motorcycle Repair: Tuning, fuelpak, vance hines
QuestionI have a Hertigage Softail (2011) and have added the stage 1 air cleaner, Vance & Hines slipons with the V&H fuelpak and runs great. Yesterday I removed the baffels and reprogrammed the fuelpak for that application and it is running even better with no noticable loss of power thru the ranges. I would just like to get your opinion on this latest setup I made and make sure I will not be causing any harm to the bike. Thanks, Gary
AnswerRemoving the baffles makes your pipes drag pipes, which will cause some loss of horses in midrange. You need a little back pressure on the exhaust system. You wont cause any harm as long as you are not running the bike lean.
Good luck and happy riding
