how do you set the spark timing ( C.D.I )

It isn't designed to be adjustable after factory installation, however if you tore the top end off for some reason and didn't mark the pulse generator plate, you can reset the timing plate by setting the crankshaft to the F mark alignments on the rotor, then move the pulse generator plate so that the marks on the edge of the pulse coil match up to the lines on the spark advancer.
