Motorcycle Repair: Blue smoke, needle jet, side exhaust

Question
I just rebuilt, adjusted, and synced the carbs on my 4 cyl. NO it's not a honda, but in general they should all act the same. I got it running sweet so I took it to 9500 rpm just for fun. After that little burst I noticed that the idle got rough and it would stumble from idle to about 4000 rpm then smooth out. Then I notice that it's leaking fuel from the number 4 carb. and smoking out the same side exhaust. I am thinking the smoke was from too much fuel washing the oil off the cylinder and causing the smoking... what do you thing? It wasn't smoking before any of that happened. Thanks...

Answer
Sounds like something was dislodged and ended up stopping the needle jet working in the carb.  Stop the carb from overflowing first because that will give you fuel wash.  Once it's running right, and the carbs do not overflow, pull the plugs and check their condition.  let me know what you find.

Good luck,  Jan
