Motorcycle Repair: 95 xl, 1200 evo, sprocket flange, worn bearings

Question
New to Harleys, bike is in good condition, but still trying to get a feel for how she runs. recently notices some rubbing/whining coming from the front (secondary) sprocket. wheel alignment was off and belt way too loose causing drive belt to rub side of sprocket. while checking it out noticed the front sprocket flange was running out .015" axially and .08" radially, while the center hub is almost true (.002" axially, about the same radially). while not printed (or just not found my me) in the service manual, what are the suggested wear limits/runout values for the sprockets? Also i know this is kind of open ended, but what types of noises can i expect from the primary drive train, ie general sounds of an improper torqued compensator nut, loose chain and worn bearings.

Answer
If the compensator nut nut, chain was loose or a bearing was worn in the primary you would get a rattle in the primary at idle. When you go to pull away in first gear the chain would slap if to loose.
On the sprocket, you are fine. You have to have a little runout or you will burn a bearing.
Good luck and happy riding
