Motorcycle Repair: honda cm400T engine problems, honda cm400t, rubber seal

Question
Hello
I have a problem, which i can not understand. My honda cm400T 83", has a good spark on both "spark makers" but whenever i try to start it, even if i change the position of sparkmakers from right to left, everytime only works the right cylinder - right side of an engine....   and from the left only comes out residual fuel through the tube at the side of the motor, and this fuel is very dirty. After a minute of engine run, when i put out the "spark maker" from the cylinder that works, the "spark maker" is all black at the end of it.....

The other problem is leaking oil (while engine is working) where the cover of an engine comes on topside cylinder - where rubber seal is - and this oil is black and dirty ..... should suposte to be an oil at he top of the engine where the valves are?

Thank you for the answers.

Answer
Gregor, the carbs need to be cleaned good.  The fuel coming out the overflow indicated the needles aren't shutting off the fuel flow so that cylinder is running very rich to the point it's fouling the plugs.

Yes, there should be oil in the top of the engine.  It sounds like one or more of the seals will need to be replaced.
