Motorcycle Repair: 99 RK cuts out then restarts 5-10 min later, sensers, 90f

Question
QUESTION: 1999 Road King (43K mi)has recently started cutting out as if it ran out of gas, but restarts approx. 5-10 minutes later. It has happened at all speeds, outside temps (60-90F) and with the gas cap loose (to check venting). The bike has always been warmed up. I've checked the bowl and filter for debris, the bowl was clean the filter 4-5 small pieces of debris, but nothing that would cut flow. I've casually checked some of the wiring and connectors for the obvious breaks or chafing but found nothing. Hours before the first incident it did sit in two heavy down pours but wasn't ridden in the rain. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

ANSWER: Ride the bike and when it shuts off pull a spark plug and see if its getting spark

QUESTION: No spark. Twice confirmed, but usually starts within 1-5 min although it cut out when I was stopped in traffic and it took a good 20 min. before restart.

Answer
One of your sensers are going bad and cutting out. The problem is knowing which one it is. What you need to do is have a dianostic run on the bike to determine which one it is. Other wise you will be changing sensers until you hit the right one
Good luck and happy riding
