Motorcycle Repair: 87 Kawasaki 454ltd, booster cables, start button

Question
Hi Mitch, I was wondering if there's a common problem with the '87 kawasaki 454ltd tor a no crank condition.I'm looking at one for sale.It was running, they shut it off and hasn't cranked since.Battery, start button and neutral switch vave been replaced but no difference. All power is supplied to lights, goages etc when the ignition is turned on.I'm interested in buying but don't want to if it's a common problem that's going to be a major expense
Thanks
Cory

Answer
Cory ,
it sounds like to me you have a bad rectifiier which gives you fire and also if you are not getting fire to the starter got directly to the starter with a set of booster cables from an auot that is running, hhok up the positive to the red wire on the starter then touch the negative wire on the frame if it turns over your solenoid is bad replace it then you should be fine o.k.
p.s please leave feedback for me. i f you need more help feel free to contact me .

                   Sincerely Mitch
