Motorcycle Repair: Splitting a Honda Nighthawk Crankcase, honda nighthawk, cb650

I'm in the middle of restoring a 1982 cb650 Nighthawk and, after all the bolts have been removed, I can't get the halves of the crankcase separated.  They'll come apart somewhat, but it feels as though something on the left side of the engine (if the engine were sitting right side up) isn't coming loose.  I don't want to screw up the seam, but how in the world do I get the blasted halves apart?  What could possibly be sticking?

i believe on that particular you have a little clamp on one of the shafts that takes a special tool to either open the clip are one that closes the tip to remove it from the shaft.the clip looks like a litytle clip with 2 eyes next to each other . hope this helps you let me know .good luck.
