Motorcycle Repair: broken flange primary side lower case, bolt pattern, economical route

Question
I have a Harley 1985 FLHT and the flange on the lower case that seats to the inner primary is broke half way around. Being I am in the construction business in a bad economy I am trying to go the most economical route to get riding again. I found a belt drive for my shorter primary for that year but it is pricy. Someone told me of a plate they saw somewhere that bolts to the lower case after removing the rest of the flange on the lower case and uses the OEM bolt pattern and is gasketed. Then the inner primary is bolted to that. Have you heard of or do you know of such a part?
Any help or information would greatly appreciated as I need to get scootin again! Thanks

Answer
I have heard of them, but dont know wh sells them. In order the do the repair and remove the flange you would have to remov ethe motor and split the cases. In order the repair what you have you would have to do the same thing. Either way it will take some machining. I think repairing what you have would be cheaper
Good luck and happy riding
