Motorcycle Repair: Crane HI-4, crane hi, static timing

Question
I have an 87 Custom Softtail and I installed a Crane HI-4 ignition & coil and I need to adjust the timing.  Can not find specific instructions anywhere in my book.

Answer
Once you have to static timing set (motor at rest) then time it with a timing light. You have to remove the plug on the left side of the case and install a clear plug or oil will blow out. Then time it at 35 degrees BTDC.
