Question
bike is stalling, and running rough.idling at below 1000 rpm's.it sat for two years, only being run for short periods of time.is there a throttle adjustment that can be performed,or any other advice?

Answer
Bill,
the problem is almost always
gas varnish stuck in the carb
idle, needle and main jets.

Other than a complete cleaning
job on the carbs you can try
filling the float bowls with
some good yamaha or other carb cleaner and
let them soak overnight.
You could remove the float bowls
and try some spray cleaner in the
jets and carb vent holes.

The fuel tank, fuel petcock valve
and lines should be checked for
fuel corrosion as well.

The idling will probably improve
if the fuel system is cleaned.
Fuel goes bad in a month or two
and really clogs the carbs up.
