Motorcycle Repair: REPLACING FOTBOY FRONT END, harley fatboy, conversion kits

Question
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2000 HARLEY FATBOY, MY PROBLEM IS THAT I AM 6' 5", I AM LOOKING TO STRETCH OUT THE FRONT END AS SO I CAN GET FORWARD CONTROLS TO MAKE THE BIKE MORE COMFORTABLE, MY QUESTION IS CAN I REPLACE THE FRONT END ON MY FATBOY WITH A FXSTC FRONT END TO GET MORE CLEARENCE TO POSSBILY PUT ON 4" FORWARD CONTROLS OR AM I STUCK BUYING ONE OF THOSE CHOPPER CONVERSION KITS?

Answer
It is not the forks that make the clearence, but the fork neck. Changing the front end would do anything. You can, however, add rake by changing the fork cups out. They do make 3 degree and 5 degree cups which will add space.
Good luck and happy riding
