Motorcycle Repair: starting problems with 2002 zx6e ninja, zx6e, time paul

i just bought the bike about 2 weeks ago. When i looked at it the man stuck it on a charger and cranked it up with choking it. I went and picked it up the next weekend and after getting it home. i can't get it to crank. around 40 deg. here i haven't checked the plugs but i do not want this problem it is firing and back firing somtimes it will start for a second then it stops. i realy need to change the plugs i guess to start with but what other problem could it be. thank you very much for your time . You will have to start out with full service including plugs, oil and filter, air cleaner element, lube the cables, ect. I would also clean the carburetors. http://www.mad-dog-cycle.com/Carb Cleaning.htm and a list of instructions of what is needed for cleaning carburetors. Jerry
