Motorcycle Repair: 2001 fatboy noise in top end front cyl, cam bearings, valve seat

Question
Noise in top end of front cylinder, removed heads and have been disassembled and inspected, found no issues. Could problem be coming from lifters and transferring noise to top end. I did have thieels wheels mech. listen to engine and his opinion was that the valve seat had come loose. I do have a lot of experience in engine rebuilding ( bb Chevrolet) none on HD,I have purchased the shop manual for information.

Answer
If you going to thiels wheels, youa re not to far from me! You could have a noisy lifter that is sending the sound upward. If you do have a ticking lifter it wound hurt anything. Just to be on the safe side, I would also check the cam bearings. What you might think is the top end might be lower.
Good luck and happy riding
