Motorcycle Repair: xr100, spark plug wire, xr 100

Question
hello i own a 2000 xr 100 i was riding in the rain and then it stalled i tried to start it back up but it wouldnt start i checked 4 spark but it doesent get any any suggestions?

Answer
David,

I would first try to dry out the kill switch,
ignition coil, spark plug wire and cap.

Make sure your spark plug is good.
Check the connectors on the CDI box
and dry that out too.

It may have a poor connection somewhere,
or some moisture.

If nothing helps, you can try disconnecting
the kill switch (run/stop on some)

You may have other more serious issues
if drying it out doesn't work.
The coils on the engine may be damp
or shorted. The cdi box could be faulty.
