Can a motorcycle battery be charged with a car battery charger?

Larry,
the problem with car chargers is they
charge at a higher amperage.
You can use it for a short while,
but keep an eye on the battery temperature,
it may get hot and ruin the battery.
It is safer to use a low amp charger (2 amp)
to prevent heat and get a long solid charge
rather than a quick surface charge.
