Motorcycle Repair: Hot Exhaust, procircuit, email addy

Question
Hello, I have a 2004 660 Raptor with a full ProCircuit T-4 exhaust, when riding at night for long periods you can see the exhaust glowing.  I bought it with the pipe and I don't know if the previous owner re-jetted it.  What should I do to make it cooler?

Answer
Hi Tyler,

I suspect the mix is excessively rich causing the pipe to glow.

Learn to read the appearance of the spark plug at NGK's website:

www.ngk.com/sparkplug411.asp

Determine what changes are necessary to the carburetor jetting and correct the air-fuel mixtures accordingly. I can help, but I'll need more information.

I return tech files by email. There was no email addy with your question as requested and explained in my instructions.
