Motorcycle Repair: stalling at midrange RPMs, yamaha r6, mapping system

Question
i have a 2002 yamaha r6 with lots of aftermarket goodies that i just bought. aftermarket's include Akrapovic evolution full exhaust system, K&N filter with carbs rejetted running hottest index of plugs. The problem i am having is about 10,000 RPM's the bike chokes and cuts out like it is not getting enough fuel. it will do this in all gears every time. the bile stays running but will not accelerate any more. i have replaced the plugs, fuel filter, run a fuel system cleaner, re-sized the jets to allow more fuel, and still nothing. i am at my whits end on this one any help is greatly appreiciated.

thanks

Answer
Hi Leo,

Sounds as if the ignition mapping system needs upgraded to match other hi-po parts.

Also, when describing performance problems, give throttle opening positions instead of RPM. i.e. 1/4 throttle to 3/4 throttle the engine boggs, etc...

RPM is helpful for fine tuning.
