Motorcycle Repair: No spark on 89 Honda CBR, wire insulation, shively

I have changed out the coils, spark plugs, cdi box and still no spark.  i am in the process of getting the stater tested.  could anything else cause the bike to not get a spark?  i am confused about which direction to take this.  any advice?

Hi Matt,

Sure, check for the following:

Open shorts (broken conductor wires beneath wire insulation)
Loose or corroded electrical connectors
Loose or corroded chasis grounds
Direct short from damaged conductor wires
Water shorting (rain and washing)
Defective ignition switch
Other defective electrical system component
