Motorcycle Repair: front master cylinder., master cylinder, brake fluid

Question
Mike,
i bought a 1994FLSTF. I was noticing front brake problems. brake handle not coming all the way bake out. decided since it was old i would change the lines. I put a new stainless line on, new pads. cleaned the calipers and the master cyclinder. I can not get any fluid out of the master. took it off. i can blow air through it so it's not clogged. if i pump the handle and put my hand over the hole for the line it creates suction on my hand. is this normal?
Thank You,
Pat

Answer
If you look at the hole where the brake fluid is pumped you will see its very very small. You are trying to fill the master cylinder, the brake line and the caliber through this small hole so its takes along time to get hte fluid through it. So keep pumping.
Good luck and happy riding
